![]() Halloween chocolate flavored candies I came across another year that I misread as "Creeper Peeper Mix" instead of Creepy Peeper Mix. It would have been more catchy if it was named that way. I had find out what this was anyways. Creepy Peeper Mix is actually a "chocolately" candy. I heard that Palmer candy company purposely doesn't call it chocolate because supposedly they were sued or got in trouble. Apparently they didn't fit the legal definition of "chocolate," even though technically there's some chocolate, but I guess a certain percentage of cocoa has to be in it to be called chocolate. So instead, they label their chocolate wannabe's "chocolately" or "chocolate flavored." I don't know the exact facts, or have found news sources on that the moment, but I thought that was bizarre and interesting at the same time. I brought the creeper peeper chocolate mix to work and my co-workers got a kick out of it. The bag included a variety of truffle like chocolate balls filled with cream filling, in peanut butter, chocolate, or caramel. It was tasty, tasted like chocolate, well, not pure chocolate. Probably loaded with sugar, oil, several other ingredients, with a little grainy texture when melted in mouth. Palmer has this distinct taste when it comes to their "chocolatey" candy, (coming from my unofficial chocolate expertise from frequently eat 60-85% dark chocolate). :P It doesn't taste bad, just unique.
