![]() Little do people know the benefits of chicken cartilage. That is why chicken soup has healing properties good for curing colds. Chicken soup is boiled chicken bones, which the nutrients and juice enriched from cartilage to become a soup. Cartilage itself is a good source of calcium. Yes I eat bizarre and weird foods including chicken cartilage right off of the joints of the drumsticks.
What does cartilage taste like? If there's a Not much, but when the chicken is already seasoned, it will taste like season and it is really really crunchy and fun to chew. People get grossed out with the thought of eating something off a bone, thinning it's bone, but I'm not eating the bone. I'm eating what connects the bones. Sometimes there's a portion of the soft bone in the middle, but I toss that and ONLY eat the white cartilage. Eating the cartilage I believe gets the most out of the calcium and nutrients. So the next time that you're sick, have a cold, flu, or a related illness, make some home made chicken noodle soup and try eating the cartilage.
