This semi-melted mess looks like roaches on cake but they are actually a limited edition raspberry swirled chocolate chips by Nestle that came out 2007ish. Delicious chocolate goodness tastes great in cheese cake. My brave friends taste tested this and liked it. I can't remember what was going through my mind because this was a few years ago, but I think I just didn't have the pie crust in my apartment and decided to use the remaining chocolate chips, eggs, cream cheese during my dessert cravings, spontaneous inventions. Along with 1-2eggs and cream cheese, I mixed in some sugar and few drops of flavoring extract (e.g. vanilla, rum, or coconut). Then I stirred in the chocolate chips. I put wax paper on a baking pan, spread the mixture about 1/4 inch thick and baked for a few minutes. After taking out and cooling, I refrigerated it for 2-3 hours. Then I attempted to slice and lift the cheesecake pieces; that's where it started falling apart because it was too thin. I also had fruit preserves, and tried spreading a very thin layer, (because it's super sweet), on top of the pieces where ever I could, then flopped over with a spatula, whatever layers I could get on top of each other, so that there's about 3 on top of each, (with fruit preserve spread in between). The layers make the cheesecake pieces decent size slices. To transfer the layer, use the spatula and place it on a plate to eat or container to store in the fridge. It actually turned out to be a really tasty treat that my friends enjoyed. If you can figure out how to not break the individual cheesecake layers, I'm sure it would look delicious too.
