ABC Gum... already been chewed. I have a confession to make, when I was little, I used to chew my sister's ABC gum. Have you had some before? Hey, we all did strange things as a kid. But I didn't eat paint, boogers, crayon, chapstick or anything non-edible as a kid. ABC gum was my thing and I painted the walls with my boogers, not eat them. I think ABC gum had to do with my parents not wanting me to eat sugary gum and letting my teeth rot of cavities. Smart idea. My sister had a sugar gum stash and I wanted some even if it was already been chewed. So I'd beg my sister for the gum pieces that she'd already chewed. At first she was like "Eww no." But somehow I convinced her. I'd even wait for hours until my she was done chewing and sucking out all the sugar and flavor, asking like a kid who asks "Are we there yet" but instead "Is it ready yet?"When ABC gum was warm and ready, my sis would take it out of her mouth hand it to me, and I'd chew in content until I was bored with it. Today, I find gum after all the flavor is sucked out of it, pretty nasty because what remains tastes like rubbery substance, that's been sitting around for awhile. Maybe like chewing rubbery chemicals. I also almost never chew sugar gum, because I learned my lesson as a kid from eating candy (which wasn't really given to me after the age of 5). I didn't take good care of my baby teeth which were eventually became rotten eaten up by cavities.
