I stuck my hands in a bag of bagels at my former office back in January and they were literally furry, fuzzy, fuzz on bagels. I almost did not want to ask, or tell, but snapped a cell pic anyways. What happened was someone bought in the bagels shortly before or after it's expiration date at a discounted price (which is usually still good to eat for a short time). I unknowingly waited too long, reached to the bottom of the bag, plopped one of the bagels on the napkin and wondered whoa.. what's that bluish spots all over and the fuzz? After realizing what it was, I freaked out a little, imagining what it would have been like if I took a bite out of that hairy treat, but then I took a closer look at the mold, and thought it looked kind of artistic.You probably can't see it in the picture, but the mold fuzz has patterns that made me wish I had brought my SLR camera to take pictures. I was still very grossed out by it, dumped the rest, but left that one out for everyone else to see. I didn't eat it, or take a bite (and I don't recommend it either). I was curious to what it would look like if we waited longer, but someone eventually threw it out. Next time you have something fuzzy moldy, take a peek at the mold. Hey maybe take a picture and send it to me too while you're at it. :P
