Looks kind of nasty, but is pretty tasty. Experimental dessert copying the Thai style Mango Sweet Rice dessert I've eaten in the restaurants. Not sure why people call regular white Asian rice "sticky rice" because all rice seems to be a little sticky, but sweet rice is a different kind of rice that is actually naturally really really sticky and sweet. |

I came to a BBQ not too long ago. When I comfortably sat down in the living room, I saw a bowl full of roasted/grilled crickets, *gasp* looked away, and felt like my eyes were violated. Did I eat it? |

A few years ago we either didn't have rice paper or ran out, so I came up with the idea to make a plate full of ingredients normally found in spring rolls, which is why I'm calling it Spring Rolls without the Roll. :P Don't confuse spring rolls for egg rolls... Not sure why many switch it backwards, but egg rolls are called "egg rolls" because they use egg roll skins which are made with eggs, similar to wonton skin. So it's technically not vegan. Spring rolls seem very spring like, and served cold. |

Ok, so it was my first time making this French/Viet dessert by myself, called "Flan," and it fell apart. Flan is a custard like dessert (similar to creme brulee but cold, more gelatin like). |

Makes grown-ups literally groan for more. My fruity cheesecake might not be bizarre, but maybe my technique of making one is.. and I've never had minty cheesecake (or heard of one) until I made one. Fruity cheesecake is great for any occasion and minty cheese cake is a great idea for the winter holidays/new year though you're welcome to make it whenever you want. |

Anyone ever have Okra? It is slimy gooey goodness, (when you cut, you will see slimy goo), but one of the few green plants I actually like. I decided to experiment Okra with cooked shrimp and pasta. |

http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/35778477/ns/today-today_food_and_wine A couple weeks ago, I came across this Today Show article that I had to mention. A chef in NYC created cheese and ice cream out of his wife's breast milk. According to the article, it in great demand and was a great hit. I'm not sure if I would ever try it.. it's a little too eerie.. but if you were breast fed milk as a baby, it technically wouldn't be any different. Would you ever try it?

I stuck my hands in a bag of bagels at my former office back in January and they were literally furry, fuzzy, fuzz on bagels. I almost did not want to ask, or tell, but snapped a cell pic anyways. |

Bubble tea drink (aka boboa tea, pearl tea, pearl drink, tapioca drink) is a popular fruit smoothie drink mixed in with tea and chewy tapioca balls and drink through a big straw (like the straws you get a Panera Bread). Bubble tea can be found in some Asian restaurants such as Thai and Vietnamese, and tea houses, for approximately $3 a cup.
