This bizarre music video "We are the People" by Empire of the Sun is one of the most strange, vibrant and colorful music videos I have ever seen.  Again, watch this video before reading the rest of this since this is a spoiler.

Basically the music video starts off with the two members from Empire of the Sun band, lead singer in an empire like outfit, and his sidekick, in a ragged pants, shirtless, and in ropes wrapped around as if he may be a servant of the Empire.

I don't know Spanish, but there are subtitles on the bottom in Spanish to translate a story of their journey through the desert and what they express visually without words or movement of mouth.  Line by line, I typed the subtitles into a translator which wasn't exactly accurate in translation because it only has a capability of just doing literal translation, so it partly didn't make sense, but I understood where it was going.

If I recall, basically the Empire of the Sun guys were looking and humblely asked where the Goddess was.  The other guy they asked pointed them in the direction.  When they reached the Goddess, she was holding a skull, arms out to the guys. Confused, the sidekick held onto the skull asked if he was dead.  Before you know it, they are dancing tribal like at these water falls, the Side-kick screaming, motioning, around a different guy, alive and laying down on a stone, appearing to be the human sacrifice.  Side-kick holds a weapon which he swings down once indicate end the life of the human sacrifice (but don't worry, the camera doesn't show any violence at all, blood or the "killing").

Near the end, after the sacrifice, they come together with a village of people parading down the street with crosses, tribal props, festive outfits and death like customs, including a deathly figure painted like skulls and teeth on her mouths.  At the very end, the song cuts out for a second, the scene transitions back into the desert where the Empire of the Sun guys are in laid out dead on the ground, while a dessert mountain biker observes from the top of a small cliff. The song plays fading out. The subtitles show in Spanish translated to "We are the  people."  Then the song ends.

Pretty bizarre dramatic music video for "We Are the People," but I really like it and I like the lyrics.  "I can't do well, when I think you're gonna leave, but I know I try. Are you gonna leave me now? Can't you be believing now?"
