"Rejected - Best Oscar Award Winner Movie" This is officially one of the most bizarre animated cartoon clips I have ever seen in my life. My friend in our college years introduced it to us. It really doesn't make any sense, but it's oddly hilarious. According to the video, in 1999, Don hertzfeldt submitted promotional segments for the Family Learning Channel, but all of the clips were rejected. So they decided to release it to the public anyways. The video above is the compilation of all the clips. I watched through the whole thing and was thinking... What the??? That is sooo weird. But for some reason something as silly as the way the cartoon says "My spoon is too big!" is entertaining, along with the banana that pops out and screams "I'm a banana!" I think those are my favorite part. So every time my friend randomly says... "My spoon is too big." I screamed "I'm a banana!" Without getting into the whole discussion here, a "banana" is also another term for Asians who are "Yellow on the outside, and white on the inside." Culturally speaking, a very Americanized Asian such as me. I don't use it as an insult, but as a comeback, just to poke fun of my situation, because I am criticized by the Asian community for being "too Americanized" and in the American community as being "too Asian." Whatchya gonna do, right? Anyways, enjoy the clip!
