Because you might trip over these 3 small steps… Oh and don't run into the this fancy sign. When I used to work in a city near New York, one of the most expensive areas, I would hang out at the most random (and free) places, including lounges at a college branch of a "famous" University downtown where the night life existed. There were these really small flat short steps near the entrances, and a tall sign labeled "Watch Your Step." I've never seen anything like that ever, a fancy sign about an adult's height, "Watch Your Step" for 3 short steps and I figured, it's in an area with elites, young professionals, and celebrities.. anything is possible, even a special sign and even 3 small steps just because they can. Also, my guess is probably liability reasons.. it wouldn't be fun to get sued either if someone were to accidentally trip over themselves.
