A few years ago, I had lost my license one time, at my very first casino experience if I recall. I searched everywhere. Eventually I ended up at a DMV the next morning.
It was Christmas Eve (Holiday if you call, I don't celebrate any either way), and my friends decided to sneak me off to a casino. Yes, I was of age. After watching others gamble, then dinner, I realized my license was missing, I think when I wanted to order a pina colada. I revisited every path I remembered I walked through, scoured the bathrooms, lobbies, customer service or lost and found, and it was no where to be found. I looked at maintenance walk by with a standing sweep and figured maybe be it was swept up and discarded unknowingly. Taking the safe route, I stayed over my parents so that the next morning, my dad can drive me to the DMV to get another license, just in case by chance I need a form of identification. Plus it is required for operating a vehicle anyways. The first thing I noticed was a Pen Machine, was very fascinated and amazed, a) because I've never seen a pen machine before, even in grocery stores and b) I like pens, I used to collect them. I was tempted to purchase a pen for the vending machine experience. But didn't want to spend, especially having to pay a lot just to get another copy of my license, so I held back. Anyways, about 2 weeks later, I received a mysterious envelope in the mail, without any sender address. I opened to my license and a friendly card or note from the anonymous good samaritan, saying along the lines, happy holidays. That was nice.
