Unspoken Apologies
By Phuc
written on: Aug 12 2000

Many years ago
When a time I felt so low
You asked me the question
My answer I didn't mention
You said that you were serious
To ask was appearing delirious
Spreading rumors are so quick
Before the clocks could tick
You told them that you never asked
As the long weeks slowly passed
The kids were cruel
Made you look like a fool
Only we knew what was true
I should've known to lie too
Now you're forever gone
You did absolutely nothing wrong
If I could see you once again
We'd end our fears of way back then
You and I are not to blame
Why do I feel so much shame? I'm breaking down on my knees'
I'm filled with unspoken apologies
