You Left Me

You left me hopeless
and what's left of me
is confusion.
You left me questions
but not about you,
It's about everyone.
Humans,
Existence,
Purpose,
Intentions...
I have let go.
But I lost faith in humanity
Their intentions
are confusing.
Lust disguised as love.
Deception for
Self satisfaction,
Self desires,
Self… Self… Self…
That is all I see.
You played robot
Deceived me but by
deceiving yourself
So that you can have
your chance
to fulfill your fantasy.
You left me with guilt.
Guilt I should have not
accounted for
because you blamed me
for your own faults,
fickleness,
decisions.
Excuses you made
for broken promises
You blamed me
and I believed
that I was somehow
the cause for your actions,
your reckoning.
You left me with your delusions.
The alien,
The monster,
that was painted of me.
My words twisted,
and your own words twisted
by your mind
constantly changing reality.
One minute perspectives
are good
The next minute the same thing
becomes wrath,
becomes suffering
in the pivot of your mind.
Then twist around the
responsibility back on me.
Times we had
dissipates into dirt.
How could you leave me
with such passionate words,
promising assurance,
and request the world of me
favors from me,
which I have done,
But then just
rip it all that back
just to replace them with
hard words of
total contradiction
and accusations?
What's real?
What is unreal?
You left my world shattered
just when I had started to believe.
I am left with disgrace
subconsciously destroying others
with your true colors
in monochrome of grays
when it is possible
that there could be
a spectrum of light
which I had blinded myself from.
My reflection
I saw in the mirror
was from beauty
to beast.
For it was tainted
by your illusions
to my mirage you created.
Will I remain cursed
in that image forever?
Or will someone else
see light in me
before all the rose petals fall off?
How can I free myself
from my own chains
bounded by rust
tarnished from the
weep within
where no one cannot see?
You once left me
on my knees.
You took back your words
and pierced me
with them.
You controlled me
with them.
You put me down
to inferior,
subhuman,
not worthy of your approval.
But you have not taken me.
Stitches have been removed.
I stand.
I rise.
Now this time
I'll change my mind.
I'll take control.
I'll take back my words
because it means nothing now
as well...
